Electric Vehicle Replacement Assistance Program

How to Participate in EVRAP

The Electric Vehicle Replacement Assistance Program (EVRAP) helps eligible Utah residents replace older, high-emission vehicles with cleaner electric vehicles by providing financial assistance through an EVRAP voucher.

To participate, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of Utah
  • Possess a valid government-issued photo ID
  • Provide proof of household income
  • Meet household income qualifications determined by Poverty Guidelines
  • Own a vehicle with a clear title (no liens)
  • Be listed on the vehicle registration, which must reflect at least 12 months of Utah registration history (registration does not need to be current)
  • If your vehicle is newer than 8 years old, have recent emission test results showing a failed inspection within the last 30 days

What to Expect

After you submit your application and required documents, we will review them and notify you of your eligibility. If approved, you’ll receive an EVRAP voucher to use toward the purchase of an eligible electric vehicle at a participating dealership. You may also work with a dealership that is not yet participating, as they can apply to join the program at any time. Once the purchase is complete, the dealership will report it to the County.
